Begin your Tashkent city tour: Step back in time as you venture into the Old City to explore the majestic Khast-Imam Complex, home to the legendary Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman. Wander through the beautifully preserved Barak-Khan Madrasah, the elegant Tillya-Sheykh Mosque, the revered Mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari.

Your journey through Old Bukhara begins in the heart of the city at Lyabi Hauz Square, near the whimsical monument of a man riding a donkey – a beloved symbol of local folklore.
Step into the charm of the Lyabi Hauz complex, where you’ll explore the graceful Nadir Devanbegi Madrasah and Khanaka, the historic Kukaldosh Madrasah, and the ancient Magoki Attor Mosque – believed to be the first mosque in Uzbekistan and a rare pre-Mongol monument.
Wander through the atmospheric Trading Domes, each dome once dedicated to silk, hats, and jewellery. Glimpse the Traditional Men's Bathhouse from the 16th century (exterior view only), offering a peek into past local life.
After lunch, continue to the majestic Poi Kalan complex. Marvel at the towering Kalan Minaret, one of Central Asia’s pre-Mongol masterpieces, and visit the impressive Kalan Mosque, the largest in Bukhara. Opposite stands the Miri Arab Madrasah, still functioning as a religious school for men.
End the day with visits to the elegant Boloi Hauz Mosque, the revered Chashmai Ayub Mausoleum, and the iconic Samanid Mausoleum – the first in Central Asia and a rare pre-Mongol treasure of the Islamic world.

Continue your journey through the timeless wonders of Bukhara as you explore the legendary Ark Citadel, a colossal fortress that once served as the royal residence and seat of power for Bukhara’s emirs.
Next, step into royal elegance at Sitorai Mohi Khosa Palace – the Emir’s lavish countryside retreat, blending Persian and Russian architecture. Built at the turn of the 20th century, the palace now houses a stunning museum of decorative and applied arts.

Later, transfer to the railway station and board the high-speed train to Samarkand, departing at either 14:58 or 17:55 depending on schedule.

Begin your final day in Samarkand with a visit to Konighil village, where the ancient art of traditional Samarkand paper-making is still alive. Witness the centuries-old techniques that turn mulberry bark into beautiful, handcrafted paper.
Continue to the sacred Shakhi-Zinda Memorial Ensemble – a stunning avenue of richly decorated mausoleums dating from the 11th to 15th and 19th centuries. This spiritually significant site is believed to house the grave of Qutham ibn Abbas, a cousin of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who brought Islam to this region in the 7th century.
After lunch, visit the Khazrati Khizr Mosque, where the tomb of Uzbekistan’s first President, Islam Karimov, stands overlooking the city. Then explore the Ulugbek Observatory, an astronomical marvel from the 15th century that showcases the scientific legacy of one of Central Asia’s greatest scholars.

Today, venture out to the extraordinary landscapes surrounding Baku, beginning with a visit to Gobustan National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its ancient rock carvings. These prehistoric petroglyphs date back thousands of years, offering a fascinating glimpse into the lives, beliefs, and rituals of early human civilisation.
Next, journey to one of Azerbaijan’s most unique natural wonders – the Mud Volcanoes. This otherworldly terrain features bubbling, gurgling craters that erupt with cool mud, creating a dramatic, lunar-like landscape that feels straight out of science fiction.

Morning Excursion:
Begin your final day with a visit to the Gobustan Museum and its remarkable petroglyphs, where ancient rock carvings bring prehistoric stories to life.
Then, hop into a 4x4 SUV and head off-road to explore the bubbling Mud Volcanoes, one of Azerbaijan’s most surreal and fascinating natural phenomena.
Return to Baku for a cultural stop at the stunning Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, home to a rich collection of traditional woven art. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the Caspian embankment, followed by a scenic stroll through Little Venice, a charming area with canals and quaint bridges.
